Some Necessary Postulations
The perplexing enormity and horror of the recent disaster brought about by a huge earthquake off the shores of the island of Sumatra, the day after Christmas, and its subsequent tsunami which swept the coasts of South-Asia and East-Africa, has left many of us, Christians and unbelievers alike, thinking about the prophesied End Times. Newscasters, as well as the general public, are justifiably using terms such as "apocalyptic" and "biblical" in order to characterize the greatest disaster in modern history, which occurred just over two weeks ago. Meanwhile, professional debunkers, and some amateurs, are sweating hard in their futile attempt to dissuade the masses from asking the right questions — and most of all, from arriving to the necessarily right conclusions. These conclusions would be derived from confronting the somber reality, and the extent, of this cataclysmic event: Are we already in the prophesied End Times? And the answer is, yes! Could the Bible be right after all? Yes! Are worse things ahead of us yet? Yes! Is there any hope for me? Oh, YES!!
Some idiots, and many evil-intentioned deceivers, say that our times are not at all different from any of the times before us. They, stupidly — or worse yet, willingly — ignore the meaning of the increasing signs which constantly strike all around us, and even sometimes the very news reports of any of them. Certainly, like wars and countless other societal disasters that affect us today, natural disasters are getting much more frequent and much more intense than the disasters of yesteryear. Responsible scientists are alerting us about the inevitability of various social, and even climatological, changes yet to occur as a consequence of the overpopulation of our planet. Pollution and the heating of our atmosphere, are among some of these variables. The truth is that our precious planet, like our impious society, is just about to die — without a doubt — due to the sinful collective attitude and the stubborn unrepentance of mankind. So, great and terrifying things are taking place and yet more are about to occur.
In front of all the increasing natural and sociological disasters that have taken place in the last nine decades of human history, many people have asked the same questions that are still being examined, "Where is Elohim when all this happens?" They, in their unjustifiable denial, ignore that He is exactly where He was, and doing the same, as when humans massacred His own Innocent Son two millenia ago. Yes, He always was — and still is — right here, in the very midst of things, with a very clear purpose in His Mind: to call mankind — by any means — to Repentance, and consequentially to Eternal Salvation. For End Times is not about punishment so much as it is about Justice, Salvation, Regeneration, Recreation, Perfection, Peace and Eternal Happiness. Surely, what He wants for all of us is an eternally blissful Glory in His own perfect Kingdom. But, do we want it? Really? Do we want it in His Own Terms? You see, He is our Creator, and therefore our only rightful King, so, He has the Right to demand from us a humble submission — a submission that is not for His benefit, but for our own Protection. If you feel insulted by His Universal Majesty demanding from you due Respect, Obedience and Submission, remember that after all, His own Divine Son made Himself subject to us sinful humans, when He walked among us — and how did we pay Him? By crucifying Him! That is His Example of submission. Therefore, He has not only the Right but the moral Power to demand what He demands. Of course, He is so Just as to give us the Free Will that we all use so badly, from where all the natural consequences that now we experience arise. If you jump with your children from a cliff and all get killed, it is not the Law of Gravity that killed you — it was your suicidal arrogance and/or your preposterous foolishness.
The Reality of our future is that before things get really Good, they are going to get really, really Bad ... So, YOU’d better get Ready.
Those Prophets Of Doom
Then, will the catastrophes continue?! No doubt. And it will be so because humans do not change in their torpid approach to life, but most of all in regard to our attitude toward the Almighty King of Heaven. So yes, what can I say, we are doomed. Our own arrogant superficiality has condemned us as a race for so much disobedience to His well-intended Commandments — and with us our own planet is doomed too.
So, am I a "prophet of doom"? Yes, but also a "prophet of Truth." There is too much at stake not to call "wrong" what is wrong, and to call "good" what is good. Would it have been prophesying doom to have alerted the areas affected by the last tsunami of the monstrous waves headed toward them? Some knew it, and did not do anything about it, or they did not do enough effort to alert, and therefore save, those who were about to perish. Probably you have heard the story of a 10-year-old English girl, Tilly Smith, on vacation with her parents at the Marriott hotel on Maikhao Beach in the recently affected area of Thailand. When she saw the ocean receding from the shoreline, and knowing what that sign meant since she had studied it just two weeks before, she started screaming to everybody about the misfortune that was coming; and by doing so she saved — with her "prophecy of doom" — countless lives that otherwise would have unnecessarily perished. So I, and other Christians, do. And so shall we continue doing in respect to the amny prophesied cataclysms of the End Times. After all, we just repeat what the Scriptures of the Almighty have prophesied for ages. What The Almighty says in Yehezq’El (a.k.a. Ezekiel) 7:1 is an example of this:
"The word of YHWH came to me: 'You, son of man, this is what the Sovereign YHWH says to the land of Yisra’El: "An End! The End is coming on the four corners of the land! The End is now upon you, and I will release my Anger against you. I will judge you according to your behavior. I will hold you accountable for all your abominable practices. My Eye will not pity you. I will not spare you. For I will hold you responsible for your behavior, and you will suffer the consequences of your abominable practices. Then you will know that I am YHWH!" This is what the Sovereign YHWH says: "A Disaster — a one-of-a-kind Disaster — is coming! An End has come. The End has come. The End is upon you. Look, it is coming! Doom is coming upon you, you who live in the land! The Time is coming, the Day is near. There are sounds of tumult, not shouts of joy, on the mountains. Soon now I will pour out my Rage on you. I will fully vent my Anger against you. I will judge you according to your behavior. I will hold you accountable for all your abominable practices. My Eye will not pity you. I will not spare you. For your behavior I will hold you accountable, and you will suffer the consequences of your abominable practices. Then you will know that it is I, YHWH, who is striking you. Look, the Day! Look, it is coming! Doom has gone out. The staff has budded, pride has blossomed! Violence has grown into a staff that supports wickedness. Not one of them will be left — not from that crowd, not from their wealth, not from their prominence. The Time has come. The Day has arrived! Let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for their whole crowd will experience divine Wrath'"."
Observe that at times he talks about the Day of Doom in present tense, and even sometimes in past tense. The King Of Everything is obviously the King of Time, therefore for Him, as the Almighty immaterial hyper-dimensional Being that He is, time does not exist. For Him, His Prediction is so sure to happen, that He sees it as if it was already happening, or as if already it had happened. The meaning of such a way to express the matter is that nothing will stop the prophecy from happening. Certainly, if humans would change, it should not have to occur; but The Heavenly Father, and Unique Creator of the Spirits, knows that people will not change from their evil ways. So, the predictions are more solid than diamond — the doom of its execution is inevitable. Count it as done.
Now, to express these things is not to wish it at all. It just means that historical experience teaches that His Word always comes across exactly as He meant it.
Yes, humanity is doomed, but it is not by Him. It is by our own misuse of the Free Will that He so graciously gave us.
A Lifesaver In An Ocean Of Doom
So, is there any Hope? Of course there is — and plenty of it — but it is at the individual level, not at the collective one. That is the reason why His own Son Yah’Shua of Nazareth came to this planet: to solve our personal problem in a very personal way. He died on a cross, in the midst of unimaginable anguish and pain in order to pay for ALL the sins that we commit in the span of our earthly lives — ALL and ANY of them! His Death and Resurrection facilitated our personal Salvation by doing these steps:
- Sincerely repenting from our sinful life, from the bottom of our heart.
- Honestly confessing our wrong doings and mistakes to Him.
- Humbly asking forgiveness for all our sins.
- Publicly expressing our Belief, and Trust, that the Death of Yeshua of Nazareth on the cross took place to pay for ALL our sins.
- Candidly expressing our belief in, not only the Death, but also in the Resurrection of His Son Yah’Shua.
- Truly receiving Him as the only Master of our lives.
- Heartily dedicating our lives to Him
Having done that, we are eternally saved — even if we find ourselves physically in the midst of any doom that hurts us or that even kills us. After all, having done that, by Him and because of Him, we are Free from the worst Doom of all: Eternal Damnation. Obviously, the person that has truly and sincerely done these seven maybe not-so-easy Requirements for Salvation will — because of his Repentance, which means "change of mind" — try not to do the wrong things that he did before. And at times we will, but we will feel convicted by His Holy Spirit now living inside of our own spirit, we will confess such sins, and we will start again in our secure Way to Victory over Sin. Certainly, there will be many battles, some of which at times we will loose, but in the End nothing will separate us from His Eternal Love and Grace, and therefore from His Salvation.
For a true Christian believer — not for the mental ones who do not care about fighting against their evil tendencies in order to honor our Father in Heaven, nor for the cultural one who has been taught to keep the traditions of what many understand to be Christianity, both of whom use the name of Christian unduly — there is a secure Hope, which is much more than a simple wishful thinking. We have an unbreakable Assurance that no matter whatever happens in this doomed world our position in Heaven is Secured in and by Messiah Yah’Shua. Amen.
The Future "La Palma" Mega-Tsunami
Since the times of the Last Days is distinctly at hand, the Almighty has been finishing the preparations for the scene of His great last acts of Judgment to be cast upon our sinful civilization and the planet on which we dwell. Clearly, all the necessary pieces are already in position for an inevitable checkmate, whether they may be geological, meteorological, etc. One of them concerns a volcano to be thrown into the ocean causing cataclysmic consequences.
In 1949 the ‘Cumbre Vieja’ volcano at La Palma island erupted. (La Palma is one of the seven Canary Islands, a small archipelago off the northwestern Atlantic coast of Africa where Cumbre Vieja is the most active volcano). During the said eruption part of the island cracked and began to slowly slide into the ocean — a phenomenon that is still happening. For some time, the scientific community has been discussing the threat that this slow-paced sliding implies for many tens of millions of people and many cities of the Americas, from Canada all the way down to Brazil, including the Caribbean basin, and as far north as Spain, France and England in Europe — not to mention the havoc and death to the other Canary Islands and to the west coast of Africa.
The lethal menace resides in the fact that the whole chunk of island could suddenly be plunged into the deep ocean (about 4 km, 2.5 miles, deep) surrounding the island by the force of a future powerful eruption of the volcanic caldera. It is good to notice that there may be a number of eruptions before the final collapse happens. Understandably, triggering the precipitant sliding of such a big mass of land would depend on the intensity of future eruptions.
At the time of its sinking, the enormous chunk of island could be about 500 square km, or 312 square miles; a length of about 25 km, or 16 miles; a width of about 15 km, or 9 miles, and a thickness of about 1,400 m or about 4,200 feet. To make matters even worse, the very limited and deficient scientific monitoring of this volcano, could substantially prevent the vital capability to give an advance warning of any future eruption that could trigger the cataclysmic event. It is necessary to say that Cumbre Vieja had a not-so-powerful eruption in 1971 without major consequences. Previous to the pivotal 1949 eruption it erupted in 1712; but then there was no crack in the island yet.
Some scientists have calculated that when such a swift massive land precipitation occurs, it will displace approximately 500 billion tons of water, which shall give birth to a mega-tsunami like no other in the history of humanity since the Flood of Noah. The amount of energy released by such a collapse would be equal to the electricity consumption of the entire United States of America in half a year.
In less than one hour, the rest of the Canary Islands would be at least partially desolated (fortunately, they are constituted by a very mountainous terrain). In less than two hours the first parts of the coast of Africa will be attacked by 50-100m, or 150-300 feet, high super-waves which will continue extending toward the north as well as the south, although rapidly diminishing in intensity. Between three and six hours later, medium waves (5 to 7 meters, or 15 to 21 feet ) will arrive to Spain and Portugal, and later to the shores of France and England. Although, where the phenomenon reaches catastrophic proportions is in the west Atlantic, where 6 hours later 10m, or 30 feet, waves start to be experienced on the shores of Newfoundland, while at the same time 15-20m, or 45-60 feet, waves wash ashore on the northern coasts of South America. Nine hours after the La Palma collapse 50m, or 150-feet, mega-waves arrive to the Florida beaches spreading sudden horror, enormous destruction and multitudinous deaths onto the Sunshine state, as well as to the northernmost states of the American Union and the southern Carribbean. In most places the waters would go for several miles inland extending their devastation and grief. Many metropolis like New York, Washington DC, Miami, West Palm Beach and Boston, will be completely destroyed — I mention just in passing a few of the many American cities that will be destroyed; take a detailed map of the Atlantic and see what I mean. Such tragedy would be unparalleled since the Noachian era up to that fateful moment.
