This Revolution is as green as our palm trees." Notwithstanding, two years later, when he was already firmly in power, he proudly declared "I have been a Socialist, a Communist, all of my life." I did witnessed these things in Cuba. And I know that I am relieving the same nightmare all over again. In the begining, most Cubans could not believe that such a thing could ever happen to them. Then I heard all the time things like "Those type of things only happen in Europe. We are Cubans! We know better! We are brave! He will not be able to do such things to Cubans. He will only last six months." Sounds familiar? Do you really think that pride, bravadoes and stupidity were invented in America?
